[haruto wants to tell jaehyuk how sorry he was for forcing to do this but also thankful. there is also many words he wants to say not just to him but skoll as well but no time to tell them. it's taking a lot to stay in control so he can keep still and let the other do what needs to be done quickly. still, what he can't say in words he can at least convey an expression as he looks at jaehyuk with acceptance of his fate, closing his eyes as takes the hit.

there is a new pain he's feeling but one he gladly welcomes. he feels colder, everything around him becoming darker and the pain from the flames ebbing away. at that moment, with his lifeforce leaving him, haruto slightly smiles at the thought of someone, using his last breath to whisper their name]

He gently lays Haruto's head down before standing, and wipes his eyes before he stands to face the god in front of him, though his face is now that of careful neutrality, despite his demonic characteristics still being fairly apparent. ]

[though, taeseok feels like jaehyuk is maybe a little overdramatic with his whole this is my punishment for my changes thing.

Because you were a good friend to him and you deserve to know. Not to mention that your mind is probably a little clouded from all your emotions. I doubt he'll get a burial. I'm not supposed to be retrieving him. He's not supposed to go to the Heavens. Something is being planned for him if Izanagi himself asked me to get him. So...... prepare yourself.

[he warns jaehyuk before turning to walk through the portal with haruto's body. the portal closing once they're both through]

He takes a step as if he's going to follow them into the portal, but it closes before he can go any further, and he stares at the space where it was for a few more moments before he realizes that someone's probably going to see him like this -

He needed to get away again. Somewhere he couldn't hurt anyone while he worked through the anger still simmering underneath his skin.

So in a flash and a puff of smoke, he's teleported away, the faint traces of brimstone and sulfur lingering in the air afterward. ]
