They do tend to give the rest of the species a bad name. It's why the councils and groups were put into practice in the first place.
That's so much work, and they're still annoying?
It's a bit more of a complicated issue that I'm probably making it out to be. Groups deciding to go feral and let their baser instincts rule their lives, and others who like being a bit more cruel to their underlings, even moreso than some humans.
But I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about vampire politics. It's admittedly a confusing mess on its best days.
