It wasn't all that bad. One could still get hints of sweets through the bloodstream. And, you'd be surprised at how different it would taste depending on blood type, possible abilities, or if it was human vs. non-human blood.
Oh what about venomous ones, is that weird?
Venoms can be a problem. It still can transfer, and never mind that I've known several hunters who had done something similar to glamour their blood into being more appetizing, only to have the unfortunate side-effect of causing drowsiness, among other things.

Well, they tend to be weeded out fairly quickly, if not by those stunts, by way of hunters being annoyed with their feeding habits.

They do tend to give the rest of the species a bad name. It's why the councils and groups were put into practice in the first place.
That's so much work, and they're still annoying?
It's a bit more of a complicated issue that I'm probably making it out to be. Groups deciding to go feral and let their baser instincts rule their lives, and others who like being a bit more cruel to their underlings, even moreso than some humans.
